The Future Mr. and Mrs. Manecke

Brian and Sarah were in for their engagment session a few days ago. It was early on a Saturday morning but they were still excited about doing them. You know how I like people who are excited to have portraits done! Brian was such a good sport, even though he had to go to work after the session. I know their Wedding will be awesome! Here are a couple of previews.

Ty is 3 months old and came in last week with his Mom and Dad, and the family's 2 dogs. After a few smiles Ty was ready to be done, but he was a sport as we tried to get some family portraits with the dogs. We got some adorable shots, and here is one of them!

Fire Fighters

Jessica and Justin are both Firemen from Kirkwood. They brought all their gear and I dont know how they carry it all and fight a fire, its all very heavy. They are the sweetest people and we got some great pictures. I have so much respect for what they do, and all the hard work and training they, as well all firemen do. Thanks for all you do for your community!

Ashley and Matt

This couple was in for their engagement session last week. Although it had rained for most of the day, late in the afternoon the skies cleared and the sun came out and we took advantage of the unexpected change in the weather and walked around town for some shots. I took this time to get to know them a little in preparation for their Wedding next year. Sometimes the "groom-to-be's" arent too happy about having a photo shoot but Matt was awesome. They were a lot of fun, and we got some great pics!

"The Wedding"

Desiree and Cody were married Saturday at the Orpheum, they are the couple in the movie poster. The Orpheum is a breathtaking setting for a wedding, so any of you brides who havent chosen your location, go see it! The chandeliers, the seats, the woodwork and the beautiful floor to ceiling window, in the room where the girls got dressed, all of the above, WOW! Here are a couple of previews from their special day.
Well, with all the beauty surrounding us, i still suggested some shots in the alley just for the contrast!

Movie Poster

When Desiree told me they were getting married at the Orpheum Theater in Galesburg, I told her we HAD to do a movie poster so she loved the movie "The Notebook" so we ran with it. If you look closely, thats even Cody and Desiree in the boat in the lower right hand corner. We had it on display in the lobby, of course, yesterday for their Wedding.

Ashley and Derrick

Beautiful day..Beautiful setting..Beautiful Bride! Ashley and Derrick were married yesterday afternoon at Brentwood Park in Oak Run. The ceremony was held at the top of the hill and was amazing. We started the portraits off with a special moment for the two of them, their own special time before the rest of the busy day. One of the previews is of Ashley coming down the hill to see her Groom. The group of groomsmen and bridemaids were great too, they did whatever I asked even though they may have been wondering what I was thinking, but we got some beautiful portraits in doing so, so thanks guys!! Any family or friends wishing to see Ashley and Derricks wedding portrait viewing site, just shoot me an email that contains your email address and when their viewing site is up and ready all will be notified!
Have a great honeymoon!!

Adalyn is 6 months old and she has the most adorable little smile. She was so good, even after having a "wardrobe change". I told her parents, Ben and Erin that she had set the standard high for herself for her next visit, because she smiled on cue was was a joy to photograph. Here are a couple of previews!

Alex

Alex was in for her senior session on Sat. She is a beautiful senior from Knoxville. Her dog came along and I can assure you he had fun in the park, but wasnt real excited about getting his picture taken. We got some awesome images, and here are a couple of previews.

Sumers End!

Well, it didnt seem like a "normal" summer with all the rain and no super hot, humid days, but anyway, its Labor Day. For me right now its busy senior sessions, and several weddings to finish up the year. D studios was at Mother Goosebumps again last week, watch for the date to be posted soon about Christmas portraits there. Just keep checking the blog and the site to see new posts of all the sittings and maybe someone you know! Have a great Holiday!
